1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information that websites may ask your browser to store. Related technologies may also store or access information on your device. Some are essential for a service you request; others need a separate legal basis and, where required, your consent.
We aim to keep the public Culfin website simple and limit such technologies to what is necessary. This notice describes the website as configured in the accompanying October 2026 release; the technology used by the separate Engineering Monitor platform may differ.
2. Essential contact-form session
| Technology | Purpose and duration |
|---|---|
| PHP session cookie (commonly named PHPSESSID) | Created when the contact-form endpoint is used. It helps the server remember a short anti-abuse interval so that the form cannot be repeatedly submitted from the same browser session. The browser cookie is a session cookie, normally removed when the browser session ends; associated server-side session data is subject to the server's session expiry settings. |
This cookie supports the requested contact-form function and fraud or abuse prevention. It is not used by our website code for personalised advertising.
3. External fonts and other resources
For typography, this website requests font resources from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Those connections may expose technical information such as your IP address and browser details to Google. See Google's privacy policy for its handling of data.
Loading a remote font is not the same thing as Culfin setting an advertising or analytics cookie. Nevertheless, it is a third-party network request worth disclosing. Other external websites opened through links from culfin.org operate under their own notices.
4. Your browser controls
You can inspect, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential session cookies may prevent some contact-form protections or functions from operating as intended. You can always contact us directly at info@culfin.org.
Because the current public website does not deploy non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, there is no non-essential cookie setting to opt into on this release.
5. Future changes
If we add analytics, embedded media, advertising or another technology that requires consent, we will review the purpose, update this notice and introduce an appropriate choice mechanism before enabling non-exempt storage or access.
For more about how we handle personal information, see our privacy notice.
Ask us about the technologies currently in use.
